Su compromiso con la seguridad ciudadana es admirable, y debemos continuar respaldando a nuestras agencias del orden en todos los sentidos posibles.Ha surgido una tendencia preocupante: todos estos oficiales fallecieron en servicio, muchas veces solos y sin un compañero asignado.<h2>Aprendiendo del pasado: Propuesta para Reforzar el Apoyo Policial</h2>Como recordarán, el actual gobernador desplegó en el pasado a la Guardia Nacional bajo la operación llamada “Zia Shield”, involucrando a 60–70 elementos. Esta activación tenía como objetivo liberar a agentes de policía para labores de patrullaje y hacer frente a los altos índices de criminalidad en Albuquerque.A la luz de esta experiencia, propongo aprovechar las capacidades de la Guardia Nacional para proporcionar un apoyo adicional y sostenido a nuestras agencias del orden.<h3>Unidades Policiales de la Guardia Nacional</h3>Dentro del Ejército de la Guardia Nacional de Nuevo México, existen unidades de Policía Militar ya establecidas, incluyendo el 226º Batallón de Policía Militar, que cuenta con:<ul><li>La 126ª Compañía de Policía Militar con base en Albuquerque (y una división en Las Cruces), y</li><li>La 919ª Compañía de Policía Militar, ubicada en Farmington.</li></ul>Estas unidades ofrecen a los integrantes la oportunidad de formarse como Policía Militar (MOS 31B), adquiriendo habilidades esenciales como patrullaje, control de multitudes, investigaciones y manejo de escenas del crimen.<h3>Autoridad Expandida y Compensación Justa</h3>Al asignar funciones de "Policía Militar" a miembros de la Guardia Nacional, se les otorgará autoridad policial expandida para que puedan asistir a nuestros agentes de tiempo completo. Este modelo de colaboración beneficiará a todas las agencias del orden en Nuevo México: Policía Estatal, Departamentos de Sheriff y policías municipales.Me comprometo a identificar fondos dentro del presupuesto estatal para compensar a estos agentes por las horas adicionales trabajadas, ya sea durante fines de semana o en reemplazo de sus funciones regulares dentro de la Guardia Nacional.<h3>Reformas Complementarias e Incentivos</h3>Además, propongo:<ul><li>Revisar la doctrina de inmunidad calificada</li><li>Abordar los problemas relacionados con las prácticas de liberación inmediata vinculadas a las evaluaciones Arnold Tool</li><li>Ofrecer casas sin enganche a quienes se integren a cuerpos policiales certificados en cualquier ciudad o condado de Nuevo México</li></ul>Gracias por considerar esta propuesta para mejorar el apoyo y los recursos disponibles para nuestro personal del orden. Es imperativo que enfrentemos estos problemas de manera decidida y estratégica.En 2008, el gobernador Richardson me encomendó establecer un programa para reducir la obesidad infantil, el cual implementamos en nuestras escuelas primarias hasta el inicio de la pandemia de COVID-19 en marzo de 2020. Mi administración pondrá énfasis en programas que resalten la importancia de una buena alimentación y el ejercicio regular como parte del desarrollo integral de niños y jóvenes.<h3>Enfrentar las Experiencias Adversas en la Infancia (ACES)</h3>También es fundamental abordar las experiencias adversas en la infancia. Almost no one answers, which makes me think there are many ways we could save money.I recognize and support the Convention of States, which many across the political spectrum—Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and Libertarians—believe may be necessary to address the current challenges in Santa Fe and Washington.While my focus is on becoming the Governor of New Mexico, I am committed to ensuring our state and nation regains its fiscal responsibility. If elected, one of my top priorities will be to conduct a forensic audit of our state’s financial departments and non-governmental organizations (NGO’s). This audit will help identify and eliminate any instances of waste, fraud, or abuse of taxpayer dollars.

Para responder a esta realidad, debemos fortalecer los programas de formación vocacional, con enfoque en áreas clave como:<ul><li>reparación automotriz,</li><li>electricidad,</li><li>plomería,</li><li>soldadura,</li><li>carpintería, entre otros oficios esenciales.</li></ul><h3>Mejorar las Tasas de Graduación y la Participación Escolar</h3>Durante mi gestión como alcalde de Las Cruces, implementé un programa enfocado en promover la graduación escolar y la alimentación saludable. Antes del cierre provocado por el COVID-19, Las Cruces tenía la tasa de graduación más alta del estado. Planeo colaborar con alcaldes de todo Nuevo México para replicar este programa exitoso en sus comunidades.<h3>Aumentar el Salario Docente y Expandir Escuelas Comunitarias</h3>Los incentivos de vivienda mencionados en la sección de Vivienda Asequible también permitirán:<ul><li>atraer educadores calificados de otros estados,</li><li>al vender viviendas a precio de costo,</li><li>con mensualidades de $1,500,</li><li>sin enganche y con un compromiso mínimo de permanencia como docente en Nuevo México.</li></ul>Cuando se implementan correctamente, las escuelas comunitarias pueden mejorar significativamente el rendimiento académico, la asistencia escolar y las tasas de graduación.<h3>Matrícula Universitaria Gratuita (Maestría) para Docentes de Nuevo México</h3>Para atraer y retener a maestros calificados, propongo ofrecer matrícula gratuita hasta el nivel de maestría, siempre que el o la docente se comprometa a enseñar al menos 10 años en Nuevo México. Además, tengo la intención de reducir el número de años requeridos para su jubilación completa.<h3>Reconocer las Diferencias entre Zonas Rurales y Urbanas</h3>Debemos reconocer que los distritos escolares rurales tienen necesidades únicas. Hay que brindarles flexibilidad para organizar su calendario escolar, siempre y cuando cumplan con los requisitos curriculares mínimos del estado.

En contraste, existen alrededor de 90,000 millas cuadradas de agua subterránea, aunque esta es extremadamente caliente y con un alto contenido de sal. Creo haber desarrollado un concepto que podría convertirse en un método autosustentable para proveer a los nuevos mexicanos de toda el agua que necesiten durante siglos.Además, propongo que distintos condados o ciudades actúen como agentes fiscales para administrar esta agua. Mi plan contempla una distribución de ingresos de la siguiente manera:<ul><li>40% para el estado,</li><li>20% para el condado fiscal,</li><li>20% para las ciudades incorporadas, y</li><li>20% para las 26 tribus nativas americanas reconocidas federalmente en Nuevo México.</li></ul>

<h2>Reducir el Crimen y el Consumo de Drogas</h2><img src="https://run.imgix.net/07108e10-b387-4dbc-ab33-ec5dbe624340/d042bc04-2e26-474b-8566-f489af79a9e2/d042bc04-2e26-474b-8566-f489af79a9e2.png?ixlib=js-3.8.0&amp;bri=0&amp;con=0&amp;sat=0&amp;high=0&amp;shad=0&amp;usm=0&amp;rect=0%2C0%2C365%2C365&amp;w=1500" alt="" caption="" align="left" alignwidth="40" tiltdirection="left" variant="framed"><h3>Policías, Bomberos y Oficiales Penitenciarios</h3><h4>Cadena Perpetua Obligatoria en SUPERMAX</h4>Si se comete un delito que cause la muerte de un policía, bombero u oficial penitenciario, considero que la persona responsable debe cumplir cadena perpetua obligatoria en la prisión federal SUPERMAX en Colorado. El Estado cubrirá los costos para que el gobierno federal albergue a estos criminales.<h3>Creación de una Nueva Unidad: Policía Metropolitana de Nuevo México</h3>Esta nueva unidad contará con su propio jefe y estructura de mando, diseñada para apoyar a las ciudades más grandes en sus labores de seguridad pública. No reemplazará a las policías locales, sino que aumentará su capacidad operativa mediante más personal y mejor equipamiento. Se dará prioridad a oficiales retirados o con experiencia que ya residan en las ciudades donde se les asignará.<h3>Reclutamiento a Través de Incentivos de Vivienda</h3>Los incentivos de vivienda detallados en la sección de Vivienda Asequible ayudarán a atraer traslados laterales desde departamentos de policía fuera del estado. El plan consiste en vender viviendas a precio de costo, con pagos mensuales de $1,500 sin enganche. Ya cuento con un plan para garantizar la financiación necesaria para lograrlo.Abordar el problema de los jóvenes que ingresan armas a las escuelas es una prioridad. Debemos adoptar un enfoque más estricto frente a estos casos, y es fundamental que los padres compartan la responsabilidad junto con sus hijos.Los padres juegan un papel vital en la prevención, y si no pueden cumplir con ese rol, debe existir un mecanismo para que puedan comunicarse con las autoridades y así proteger a todos los niños y personas presentes.<h3>Responsabilidad Familiar y Legal</h3>Creo firmemente que la responsabilidad comienza en casa, y necesitamos que los padres participen activamente en la prevención de estos trágicos tiroteos. Debemos considerar la posibilidad de aplicar responsabilidad civil o penal a los padres, como lo han demostrado casos recientes en:<ul><li>Georgia, donde fueron acusados tanto el presunto atacante como su padre.</li><li>Newport News, Virginia, donde se implicó a una madre y a su hijo de seis años en un incidente con arma de fuego dentro de una escuela.</li></ul><h3>Apoyo a la Segunda Enmienda</h3>Apoyo plenamente la Segunda Enmienda y el derecho de poseer y portar armas.

We are highly reliant on oil and gas, which causes revenue problems when prices for fossil fuels decline. We rank near the bottom in per-capita income and near the top in poverty rates. Many rural counties face population losses, lack of economic opportunity and suffer from lack of high-speed internet, investment in transportation and irrigation. The tax and regulatory climate inhibits growth and development.We can fix this by:<ol><li>Diversifying our sources of energy and tax base with an all-of-the-above approach to electricity generation, including wind, solar, oil and gas and geo-thermal.</li><li>Becoming more business friendly with a top-to-bottom review of the regulatory climate and reducing the paperwork required for employers and manufacturing facilities.</li><li>Stepping up recruitment efforts to attract high-paying industries to areas with the labor force and infrastructure to handle them, including aerospace, electronics, and industries the dovetail with our existing research facilities.</li><li>Making the hard decisions required to expand access to high-speed broadband, fix our poorly maintained roads and bridges.</li><li>Increasing access to workforce development, funding for community colleges and workforce training facilities.</li><li>Making a concerted effort to increase the supply of <a href="/e430d281-43c2-48f1-a597-d23c4827d481/59045750-fd70-4711-8d9a-e3d083e0a69e">affordable middle-class housing</a>.</li></ol>

Creating Good Jobs that Pay Good Wages

The state will pay the federal government to house them.<h3>Establish a New Unit – NM Metro Police</h3>This new department will have its own chief and command structure to assist larger cities with local policing. The aim is not to replace local police but to enhance their capacity to combat crime by increasing the number of officers and available equipment. We will utilize former and retired officers in the cities where they reside.<h3>Recruitment Through Housing Incentives</h3>The housing incentives mentioned in the Affordable Housing section will aid in attracting lateral transfers from police departments outside of New Mexico. This plan involves selling houses at cost, with a monthly payment of $1,500 and no down payment required. All accredited local law enforcement agencies in all New Mexico incorporated cities, and all 33 counties would be eligible.<h3>Collaboration with Local Sheriffs</h3>We will partner with local sheriffs in Hidalgo, Grant, Luna, and Doña Ana Counties to secure our borders and reduce drugs from entering our communities. This effort will also focus on northern counties such as San Juan, Rio Arriba, Taos, Colfax, and Union County.<h3>Pursue a Reduction to 15 Years for Full Retirement Eligibility</h3>Our police officers, firefighters, and correctional officers deserve to receive benefits earlier.<h3>Honoring Our Fallen Heroes</h3>With a heavy heart and profound sense of pride, I would like New Mexico to remember the brave police officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty over the past decade. Their unwavering commitment to protecting our communities and our state will forever be etched in our memories. Their bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten, and we remain eternally grateful for their service.A concerning trend has emerged: all of these officers have tragically lost their lives while on duty, often alone and without a partner.<h3>Leveraging the National Guard</h3>Within the New Mexico Army National Guard, there are established military police units, notably the 226th Military Police Battalion, which consists of two active companies: the 126th Military Police Company based in Albuquerque (with a detachment in Las Cruces) and the 919th Military Police Company located in Farmington. These units offer an opportunity for individuals to join as Military Police under the 31B Military Police Military Occupational Specialty (MOS), developing valuable law enforcement skills such as patrol, crowd control, investigations, and crime scene management.By allowing National Guard members to become ‘Military Police Officers’ they will be given expanded ‘Police Powers’ while assisting our full-time law enforcement officers. This will provide crucial partnership support to all law enforcement agencies across New Mexico, including the New Mexico State Police, Sheriff’s Departments, and city police departments. I am committed to identifying funding within the state budget to compensate these officers for their additional hours of service during weekends and evenings in addition or in lieu of their National Guard responsibilities.My goal is to have a partner for every law enforcement officer in any of our police and sheriff’s departments.<h3>Systemic Reforms</h3>I propose revisiting the qualified immunity doctrine and addressing the catch-and-release practices associated with Arnold Tool Assessments. To incentivize service in our law enforcement agencies, I will also recommend offering zero down payment options for new homes to those who join any of our New Mexico Certified law enforcement agencies.

I want to help our larger cities by placing police substations in some of our highest crime areas throughout cities and counties within our state.

On March 25, 2025, Dr. Lawrence Andrade announced that he and his wife, Dr. Andra Andrade were leaving New Mexico due to the skyrocketing cost of medical malpractice insurance. Collectively, they served 9,000 patients. Their departure is a symptom of the medical malpractice crisis facing New Mexico.We are the only state in the nation that has lost doctors during the past 5 years. The reason? The cost of medical malpractice insurance. We have the highest per capita medical malpractice lawsuits in the country. It is causing our doctors to flee, a scarcity of specialists and forcing patients to wait days, weeks or sometimes months to schedule necessary visits with their doctors.Compounding the problem is that 40% of our doctors are over the age of 65 and nearing retirement, and nearly half of the doctors trained in New Mexico are leaving after completing their residency.We can fix this by:<ol><li>Placing caps on non-economic damages, just as California legislators did when they passed the Medical Injury Compensation Reform Act.</li><li>Capping Attorney’s fees in malpractice cases to discourage the filing of frivolous lawsuits.</li><li>Joining Interstate Medical Licensure Compacts to alleviate our doctor shortage and increase access to clinics and telehealth services.</li><li>Increasing the number of residency slots, expanding loan forgiveness program for medical school graduates who remain in New Mexico, and the stipends offered for those entering the medical profession.</li></ol>I have no interest in making it difficult for a patient to recover damages when they are harmed by faulty medical care, but we can ensure that justice is done without running our best and brightest out of New Mexico.

To retain and attract medical professionals in our state, it is essential to pass medical malpractice reform. We should abolish the Gross Receipts Tax (GRT) on medical services.Additionally, we should join interstate compacts to enhance access to telehealth and telemedicine services in New Mexico.

Physicians across New Mexico did not. We heard the signal.The malpractice environment in this state isn’t a nuisance. It is a crisis that is rapidly dismantling health care from the inside out, and this year’s governor’s race has become the litmus test for who supports real malpractice change.Let’s speak plainly.Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman promises to expand the physician workforce by signing onto interstate licensure compacts. Sounds good, but it’s a distraction — a shiny object for the uninformed — because without malpractice reform, those compact-eligible doctors won’t come. Or, if they do, they’ll leave after their first lawsuit.The bottleneck isn’t licensing. It is liability.In Bregman’s platform, there’s nothing about protecting the doctors already here. Most are sick of the risks they take every day, and many are ready to pack up and leave.One thing is obvious: That omission is not an oversight. It is a signal.A 501(c)(4) group tied to Bregman’s campaign leadership, New Mexico Safety Over Profit, spent heavily last session to block reform. Their strategy? Oppose limits on damages and attorney fees, and dress it up as patient protection. Yet most New Mexicans saw it for what it was — trial lawyer politics in advocacy clothing.Also, what about former Congresswoman and Interior Secretary Deb Haaland? She has yet to say a single word about malpractice reform. No plan. No proposal. No acknowledgment that the physician shortage is, in large part, driven by legal exposure and unaffordable premiums.It is a strange silence from someone known for her commitment to health equity. However, equity starts with presence. There has to be someone there — a doctor who stays. Without tort protection, even the most dedicated physicians are being forced out.So far, only Ken Miyagishima has said aloud what others will not: Malpractice reform is essential to saving health care in this state.Let’s be clear. No physician I know is asking to escape accountability. We are asking for proportion. For common sense. For a system that recognizes human variability and does not collapse under the weight of a single unpredictable outcome.Doctors are not perfect. Neither is the courtroom.Over a year ago, KRWG news in Las Cruces reported that 15 members of the New Mexico Legislature were attorneys, including the Speaker of the House and the Senate majority leader. By contrast, only two were medical doctors, and one of them was retired. That speaks volumes.Good evidence suggests that our malpractice environment is contributing to a loss of physicians, reduced access to care and, inevitably, worse health outcomes.Every candidate claims they care about access. Every candidate says they support health care professionals. However, until they speak the word “malpractice,” it is just political embroidery.We do not need slogans. Our cities and counties often lack the discretionary funds needed to create facilities with the essential amenities to support individuals in these difficult circumstances. In reviewing the state’s $10 billion operating budget, I identified an opportunity for a potential 10% savings through service streamlining and one-time investments, all while maintaining essential services with no layoffs or job reductions. This 10%, amounting to $1 billion, could be redirected toward enhancing services and addressing challenges such as homelessness, crime reduction, and mental health.

The activation was meant to free up police officers for patrol duties and address the ongoing crime issues in Albuquerque and now in Española.Here is my plan for enhancing law enforcement support:Within the New Mexico Army National Guard, there are established military police units, notably the 226th Military Police Battalion, which consists of two active companies: the 126th Military Police Company based in Albuquerque (with a detachment in Las Cruces) and the 919th Military Police Company located in Farmington. These units offer an opportunity for individuals to join as military police, often developing valuable law enforcement skills such as patrolling, crowd control, investigations and crime scene management.By utilizing National Guard members as special police officers, we can enhance their police powers to support our full-time law enforcement officers effectively. This initiative will foster essential partnerships among all law enforcement agencies throughout New Mexico, including the New Mexico State Police, sheriff’s departments and city police departments. I am dedicated to identifying funding within the state budget to compensate these officers for their additional hours of service on weekends or Mondays.To clarify, these special police officers will be scheduled to work on alternating weekends or Mondays when they are not fulfilling their National Guard duties, thereby ensuring compliance with the Posse Comitatus Act. If certain departments would prefer to allocate these funds toward reducing drug and fentanyl use instead of hiring additional personnel, I am open to that option as well.Furthermore, I propose revisiting the qualified immunity doctrine and addressing the catch-and-release practices associated with Arnold Tool assessments.Thank you for considering this proposal to enhance the support and resources available to our law enforcement personnel. It will provide Gap Pay for retirees who experience SSI reductions.In 2022, 19.2% of New Mexico's population was aged 65 or older, surpassing the national average of 17.3%.This percentage translates to approximately 403,200 residents out of a total population of 2,100,000. Additionally, about 23% of these individuals, or roughly 70,000 residents, rely exclusively on Social Security income.Using the revenues generated by diversifying our sources of energy, I propose setting aside $1 billion each year to establish a guaranteed annuity for residents aged 65 and older who face reductions in their Social Security benefits.

The state must take the lead in this area by providing the financial resources and expertise necessary to address the issue effectively. Our cities and counties often lack the discretionary funds needed to create facilities with the essential amenities to support individuals in these difficult circumstances. In reviewing the state’s $10.8 billion operating budget, I identified an opportunity for a potential 10% savings through service streamlining and one-time investments, all while maintaining essential services with no layoffs or job reductions. This 10%, amounting to $1.8 billion, that could be redirected toward enhancing services and addressing challenges such as houseless, homelessness, crime reduction, and mental health. Consider an individual living in a motel as their primary residence or paying rent for a unit that is rundown or lacks functioning heating or air conditioning. Renting on a weekly or monthly basis typically costs around $250 per week or $1,000 per month. Imagine if the state could build and sell them a housing unit for $150,000. With a ZERO down payment ($0), a 30-year mortgage at a 7% interest rate, the monthly payment would be roughly equivalent to their current motel costs or rental costs. This strategy would offer two key advantages: First, it would provide ownership and the potential for equity appreciation; Second, it would create a dignified living environment with necessary amenities for their families.&nbsp; I’d like to clarify a few points: First, my proposal is not about giving away housing, but rather about selling these units at cost. Second, the 7% figure refers to the return that the state investment council aims to achieve through its investments. This demonstrates another method for the state to assist residents who can manage modest housing payments, enabling them to own their own home for a monthly cost comparable to that of a motel room. Consider the potential for construction jobs, real estate opportunities, and more that this initiative could create across the state! I believe this represents a valuable investment in the people of New Mexico, utilizing tax dollars contributed by New Mexico residents. I would like to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to the director of the Mesilla Valley Community of Hope. During their visits to Las Cruces, various H.U.D. Regional administrators often noted that the Community of Hope should be considered a model for the entire state, and I completely concur. This community area is situated on city-owned property, includes a health care clinic, food pantry, soup kitchen, and a child-care center. Furthermore, it offers the Mano y Mano Day Labor program, which connects homeless and near-homeless adults with daily job placement opportunities, alongside a case management system designed to assist residents in achieving permanent housing as their ultimate objective.&nbsp; The state might explore the idea of "trading" land in different cities and counties across New Mexico, especially in larger urban areas, to create community living spaces and support housing solutions statewide. This initiative could be a significant step toward ensuring that the homeless and near-homeless do not have to reside in parks and parking lots in our cities. Instead, they could find refuge in a compassionate community that is safe, clean, and supportive of their circumstances, much like the Community of Hope.&nbsp; In conclusion, while providing housing for our houseless or homeless populations is an essential first step, it is equally important to ensure that 24-hour mental health and social services are accessible nearby. This support is crucial for helping individuals reintegrate into society with responsibility and dignity.&nbsp;

I bring up the Strategic Plan because I have noticed various cabinet members outlining their strategic objectives; however, I have yet to see a unified plan for the state as a whole. While I acknowledge the absence of such a plan, I believe it would be beneficial to convene the legislature for statewide town hall meetings where legislators and residents can collaborate to develop citizen-led initiatives. Moreover, I see great potential in collaborating with legislators on specific state goals and exploring ways to achieve them outside the legislative session.

New Mexico needs a 5 year Strategic Plan

It is imperative that we significantly address these issues.&nbsp; In 2008, Governor Richardson tasked me with establishing a program aimed at reducing childhood obesity, which I implemented in our elementary schools until the onset of COVID-19 in March 2020. I intend to collaborate with mayors across New Mexico to revive this program on a statewide level. My administration will prioritize affordable prevention measures, including diabetes screenings and easy-to-administer blood tests to help residents assess their risk.We will also ensure access to healthy foods and improved nutrition at reasonable prices. By partnering with our agricultural community, we aim to increase the availability of fruits and vegetables.&nbsp; Educational initiatives are essential. I want my administration to emphasize programs that highlight the significance of a proper diet and regular exercise. Additionally, addressing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) is crucial. Building generational wealth and financial stability can help families alleviate financial pressures.

It's essential to hold parents accountable alongside their children.&nbsp; Parents play a vital role in prevention, and if they are unable to fulfill that role, there should be a way for them to communicate with law enforcement to ensure the safety of all children and bystanders. I believe that responsibility starts at home, and we need parents to actively participate in preventing these tragic shootings. We should consider holding parents liable, either civilly or criminally, as demonstrated by recent court cases in Georgia, where both the alleged shooter and his father were indicted, and in Newport News, Virginia, where a mother and her six-year-old son were implicated in a shooting incident involving a teacher. I wholeheartedly support the Second Amendment and the right to keep and bear arms.

Improve High School Graduation Rates and Overall, School ParticipationDuring my tenure as mayor of Las Cruces, I initiated a program focused on promoting high school graduation and healthy eating. Prior to the COVID-19 shutdown, Las Cruces boasted the highest graduation rate in the state. I plan to collaborate with various mayors across New Mexico to implement this successful program. Increase Educator Pay and Expand Community SchoolsThe housing incentives mentioned in the Affordable Section will allow us to&nbsp;help attract qualified educators from outside New Mexico. This initiative involves selling homes at cost, requiring only a monthly payment of $1,500 with no down payment and a minimum teaching commitment in the state.&nbsp; When implemented effectively, community schools can significantly enhance student performance, attendance, and graduation rates. Free college tuition (Graduate Degree) for New Mexico TeachersTo attract and retain qualified teachers, we propose offering free college tuition up to the Master's level, provided that teachers commit to teaching in New Mexico for a minimum of 10 years. Additionally, I aim to reduce the number of years required for their full retirement. Acknowledge the Distinction Between Rural and Urban School DistrictsWe must recognize that rural school districts have unique needs. Allow them the flexibility to determine the best scheduling for their students, provided they adhere to the minimum curriculum requirements.
